Today’s process for companies moving their businesses into e-commerce is much easier than it was several years ago. Simple technology integrations didn’t exist. Which made it difficult back then to make major website changes, like having a “shopping” feature on the site.
When Replacement Parts Industries, Inc. (RPI) transitioned to an e-commerce site and wanted to add a shopping cart to the website, they needed technical experts to help. So RPI President Ira Lapides called Comerica’s merchant services to assist in setting up online credit card payments and other secure payment technology.
“Merchant services folks were incredibly helpful, both technically, in terms of making sure that everything worked properly. And in terms of really pricing the product and making sure that we had a really good deal- in terms of the payments that we were making to from our quota percentage,” Lapides said of Comerica’s merchant services team.
