Meghan Storey is Senior Vice President and Director of Small Business Banking for Comerica Bank. In her role, she is responsible for the overall leadership and success of small business banking activities in the Michigan market and oversees a team of Group Managers, Relationship Managers, and Bankers in the execution of Comerica’s small business strategy.
Storey joined Comerica in 2023, with a career spanning over two decades. Storey has dedicated her life to empowering small and midsize businesses across the region. She held senior roles at Fifth Third Bank and RBS Citizens Bank, serving as a Business Banking Market Manager, Business Banking Regional Sales Manager and Sr. Relationship Manager. Her ability to analyze market trends and develop effective strategies earned her a reputation for driving growth and profitability. During her tenure, she played a crucial role in expanding the bank's services, particularly to underserved small businesses, helping them thrive in a competitive landscape.
Born in Michigan, Storey’s passion for finance blossomed early. She pursued a degree in Finance at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, where she excelled academically and developed a keen interest in the dynamics of small businesses. This foundational knowledge set the stage for her future career, as she understood the critical role that financial institutions play in supporting local economies. Storey is known for her hands-on approach, often meeting with business owners to understand their challenges and aspirations firsthand.
Storey’s contributions to the financial industry extend beyond her professional roles. She is an advocate for financial literacy and often speaks at community events, empowering aspiring entrepreneurs with the knowledge they need to succeed. Her passion for mentorship has inspired countless individuals, as she serves as a mentor for at risk young women for Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program. Storey sits on various boards including, Junior Achievement SE MI, along with Lucid of Hope Scholarships of Bangladesh. Storey is particularly passionate for women in finance, to pursue leadership positions in a historically male-dominated field.
