Ian Stern is a Senior Vice President, Wealth Regional Managing Director of the Western Market (California and Mountain West Regions) with Comerica Wealth Management. With over 36 years of experience, he leads Private Wealth Teams providing full balance sheet solutions to high-net-worth clients in California, Colorado, and Arizona. In addition, Ian leads the National Specialty Wealth Practice and represents Private Wealth Management on the Investment Policy Committee.

Prior to his 15 years with Comerica, Ian had a successful 21-year career at Wells Fargo holding a variety of leadership positions in Wealth Management, Commercial Banking, and Strategic Alliances. Ian managed  Private Banking teams in Northern California and also was the National Sales Manager for Institutional Investments, leading a team of registered representatives in 14 States (all major markets) and was a member of the Investment Policy Committee.

Ian holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from California State University, East Bay in Hayward, CA and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Berkeley. He is also a licenced Real Estate Broker in the state of California.
