Case Study: AIMS Uses Comerica CoWorkSpaces to Host Clients

Elizebeth Langston is the founder of Azule Integrated Management Services (AIMS).

Her company provides professional services, training, development, and software and technology solutions for personal injury law firms and attorneys across the United States.

Elizebeth needed a professional space to meet with potential and current clients that also accommodated her schedule.

When she saw a Comerica CoWorkSpaces commercial, Elizebeth drove to a local branch to find out more about the service.

When Elizebeth recognized free co-working space could provide her with a place to host clients and reduce her overhead expenses, she decided to open a small business account with Comerica Bank.

Hosting clients in the right space

“There are occasions where I need to meet with clients in person,” Elizebeth said when sitting down with the Comerica team. “And I need to use a conference space–a nice-looking space–where clients can feel comfortable.”

It’s important to Elizebeth that her meetings take place in a professional space. At Comerica CoWorkSpaces, Elizebeth found what she was looking for. “I feel that they’re impressed when they see a nice
space with the technology that’s offered.”

She can reserve smaller Private Space rooms for one-on-one conversations or Conference Space rooms for larger meetings. This flexibility allows Elizebeth to handle all her company’s meeting needs.

Saving money each and every month

Before finding Comerica CoWorkSpaces, Elizebeth paid for a coworking space to handle her meeting needs. This meant money out of her pocket each and every month.

Like many small business owners, Elizebeth needs space for meetings and to get work done, but she doesn’t need it 24/7. She splits time between her home and the designated working space, depending on
the needs of her clients.

This makes a costly coworking subscription less than ideal.

As a Comerica small business customer, CoWorkSpaces is free. Elizebeth cut costs by not utilizing a coworking space membership she wouldn’t frequently use. “By using Comerica CoWorkSpaces, I have been able to reduce my monthly overhead greatly.”

A welcoming and productive environment

“One of the first things I really loved was walking in on my first experience,” Elizebeth said. “They knew me and greeted me by name. It feels very welcoming. It feels almost as if I’m a member of the staff there at the bank.”

At Comerica, we pride ourselves on service and hospitality. A Comerica branch is a place for customers and small businesses to handle banking needs, get advice, take meetings, and more.

As Elizebeth puts it, “I’m offered coffee. I’m offered the WiFi, and I’m just able to make myself at home. Plus, they give me everything I need. I have an external monitor I can plug into, a quiet space, a large desk where I can spread out my work and get a lot of things done.”

Growing the business through other available services

Elizebeth shared that she’s also using other services offered to Comerica small business customers, like free marketing through Comerica SmallBizCo-op.

“Right now, I have an ad featured in one of the branches on the branch television, which is really exciting for me,” Elizebeth said.

Free ad space, within the branch and over the radio, is one way Elizebeth is growing the reach of AIMS. “It was super simple to get an ad in place. All I had to do was email in my information and a small tidbit of a script. And next thing I know, I was getting an email confirmation.”

By spending time in a Comerica branch, she was able to discover other benefits available to her and her company.

“As a small business owner, there are often times where I am working late hours,” Elizebeth explained. “Comerica offers virtual tellers until 9 p.m. at several locations. The accessibility after normal business hours has allowed me to run my business more efficiently.”

Building relationships for the future

Elizebeth has formed a strong relationship with her dedicated Comerica small business banker.

“I feel like I have a really close relationship. My business banker checks in on me frequently just to see how
everything is going and if I need anything,” she said. “I’m treated as if I’m a large business when I am, in fact, a small business.”

Elizebeth has been so pleased with the service at her local Comerica branch that she’s referred fellow small business owners.

In her words, “I can tell from my business banker that it doesn’t matter how much I’m using the bank’s services or depositing, I am treated as if I’m the number one client.”
