To Enroll in Zelle®:
Open your Comerica Mobile Banking app or log in to your Comerica Web Banking account.
Click on the Transfers tab to access Zelle®.
Accept the Terms and Conditions to enroll.
Choose your primary account you wish to have money sent to.
Review your account information (U.S. mobile number, email address and primary account).
Select Done! You are now ready to use Zelle®.
Who can I send money to?
You can send money to people you know and trust with a bank account in the U.S. We recommend that you ask your recipient to enroll with Zelle® in their mobile banking app before you send them money - this will help them get your payment more quickly.
If you don't know the person or aren't sure you will get what you paid for (example - items bought from an online bidding or sales site), you should not use Zelle®. These transactions are potentially high risk (just like sending cash to a person you don't know is high risk). Neither Comerica Bank or Zelle® offers a protection program for any authorized payments made with Zelle® (example - if you do not receive the item you paid for or the item is not as described or as you expected.
How long does it take to receive money?
Money sent with Zelle® is typically available to an enrolled recipient within minutes. Ask your recipient to enroll with Zelle® before you send them money - this will help them get your payment more quickly. If you send money to someone who isn’t enrolled with Zelle®, they will receive a payment notification prompting them to enroll with Zelle®. After your recipient enrolls, it may take between 1 to 3 business days for your recipient to receive that payment in their bank account.
How is my information protected?
Keeping your money and information safe is a top priority for Comerica Bank and when you use Zelle® within our mobile app or online banking, your information is protected with the same technology we use to keep your bank account safe. With Zelle®, you can send or receive money without revealing your sensitive financial account information to other people. Zelle® makes it easy, fast and safe to send and receive money from friends and family right from the convenience of your mobile phone or desktop. It is important you use Zelle® for transacting with only people you know and trust.
Are there any fees to send money?
Comerica Bank does not charge any fees to use Zelle®.
Is my information secure?
Keeping your money and information safe is a top priority for Comerica. When you use Zelle® within our online banking or mobile app, your information is protected with the same technology we use to keep your Comerica account safe. When you Send Money with Zelle® in the Comerica mobile app or online banking, a one-time passcode (OTP) request is required to help protect your security. These SMS (text) or email messages will contain:

Can I use Zelle® internationally?
In order to use Zelle®, the recipient must be able to receive money into a bank account in the U.S.
What should Zelle® be used for?
Zelle® is a great way to send money to family, friends and people that you are familiar with such as your personal trainer, babysitter or neighbor1. If you don’t know the person, or aren’t sure you will get what you paid for, we recommend you do not use Zelle® for these types of transactions.

How do I use Zelle®?
You can send, request, or receive money with Zelle®. To get started, log into Comerica Web Banking® or Comerica Mobile Banking® app and select Zelle®. Enter your email address or U.S. mobile phone number, receive a one-time verification code, enter it, review and accept the terms and conditions. Now you're ready to start sending and receiving money with Zelle®.
Can I cancel a payment?
You can only cancel a payment if the person you sent money to hasn't yet enrolled with Zelle®. To check whether the payment is still pending because the recipient hasn't yet enrolled, you can go to your activity page, choose the payment you want to cancel, and select "Cancel this payment". If you do not see this option available, please contact our customer a Comerica representative at 888.444.9876 for assistance with cancelling the pending payment.
If the person you sent money to has already enrolled with Zelle®, the money is sent directly to their bank account and cannot be canceled. This is why it's important to only send money to people you trust, and always ensure you've used the correct email address or U.S. mobile number when sending money.
