At Comerica we strive to raise the bar in convenience, security and privacy, which is why we've partnered with Zelle to make sending and receiving money more seamless in our mobile app and online experience than ever before.  

As a Personal account customer, you can now send or request money in a fast, easy and safe way using Zelle within the Comerica Mobile Banking® App and Comerica Web Banking® to the people you know. With just your recipient's email address or U.S. mobile phone number, you can securely send money to your friends and family or almost anyone you know who has a bank account in the U.S. for no cost.1,2,4

Here is how to get started:

            1. Open up your Comerica Mobile Banking App or log into your Comerica Web Banking account and                     click on the Transfers tab to access Zelle.

            2. Accept the Terms and Conditions to enroll.

            3. Choose your primary account you wish to have money sent to.

            4. Review your account information (mobile phone number, email address and primary account).

            5. Select Done! You are now ready to use Zelle.

 

How does Zelle work? 

Zelle is a new way to send money directly between almost any bank account in the U.S. typically within minutes3. With just an email address or U.S. mobile phone number, you can now quickly, safely and easily send money to almost anyone you know and trust, regardless of where they bank1,2.

Who can I send money to?

You can send money to almost anyone you know and trust with a bank account in the U.S. We recommend that you ask your recipient to enroll with Zelle in their mobile banking app before you send them money - this will help them get your payment more quickly.  

How long does it take to receive money?

Money sent with Zelle is typically available to an enrolled recipient within minutes. Ask your recipient to enroll with Zelle before you send them money - this will help them get your payment more quickly. If you send money to someone who isn't enrolled with Zelle, they will receive a payment notification prompting them to enroll with Zelle. After your recipient enrolls, it may take between 1 to 3 business days for your recipient to receive that payment in their bank account.  

How is my information protected?

Keeping your money and information safe is a top priority for Comerica Bank and when you use Zelle within our mobile app or online banking, your information is protected with the same technology we use to keep your bank account safe. With Zelle, you can send or receive money without revealing your sensitive financial account information to other people.

Zelle makes it easy, fast, and safe to send and receive money from friends and family right from the convenience of your mobile phone or desktop. It is important you use Zelle for transacting with only people you know and trust.4 

Are there any fees to send money?

Comerica Bank does not charge any fees to use Zelle.

Can I use Zelle® internationally?

No, in order to use Zelle, the recipient must be able to receive money into a bank account in the U.S.  

What should Zelle® be used for?

Zelle is a great way to send money to family, friends and people that you are familiar with such as your personal trainer, babysitter or neighbor.

If you don't know the person, or aren't sure you will get what you paid for, we recommend you do not use Zelle for these types of transactions.

I am a Business, Small Business, or Commercial customer. Can I use Zelle®?

Zelle is intended for Personal customers only. Comerica Web Invoicing and Comerica Web Pay Express powered by PopMoney is still available for Small Business, Business and Commercial accounts. Go to comerica.com/business/onlinebanking to learn more.
