James H. Weber

Executive Vice President, Chief Experience Officer

James H. Weber, Executive Vice President, is Chief Experience Officer of Comerica Incorporated. He is a member of Comerica's Management Executive Committee. 

Since 2007, Weber has been responsible for developing the strategy and execution of all marketing and communications for the company, including brand advertising, direct marketing, digital marketing, customer data strategy & analytics, events and sponsorships, and sports franchise sponsorships. In 2020, his role was expanded to Chief Experience Officer as he founded the company's first Customer Experience Management (CXM) practice, and in 2022 he also assumed executive leadership of the Enterprise Data governance function as the company's Customer Data Domain Owner. 

Over the course of his career at Comerica, Weber has helped lead the company’s ongoing shift to a more data-driven, digi-centric and customer experience focused business model through the development of new customer data analytics capabilities, customer experience platforms and processes, and executive leadership of Comerica's Salesforce CRM platform and its marketing adjunct, Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Prior to joining Comerica, Weber served as Chief Marketing Officer at Fossil, the global watch and accessory lifestyle brand, where he led the successful strategic alignment of the company’s brand identity across multiple countries and categories. This followed a diverse 20-year career in advertising at several prominent agencies, including DDB, Publicis and Temerlin McClain. Weber’s advertising resume includes stints as an award-winning creative director, strategic planning director, account executive and agency principal. 

Weber earned a bachelor's degree from Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania.
