Commercial Banking Training Program (Credit Analyst)

Your first step to becoming a Relationship Manager at Comerica is to successfully complete Comerica’s Commercial Banking Training Program. Designed to be the very best of its kind in the industry, the program is taught by experienced Comerica staff members with invaluable real-world, on-the-job expertise. Your 18 to 24 month training program includes classroom training followed by continuing education and rotational assignments.

Classroom Training

JumpStart Training will familiarize you with the Comerica philosophy and organization, followed by a Credit College that provides you with formalized training and credit concepts, as well as Comerica's approach to commercial credit analysis and underwriting.

On the Job

We provide a series of 6 to 9 month rotating assignments that allow you the opportunity to work in large corporate lending, middle market, small business lending or specialty lending areas. You'll learn to underwrite loans and assess credit risk to the bank as well as accompany Relationship Managers on customer calls and meetings.

Financial Analyst Rotational Program

Comerica's hands-on Financial Analyst Rotational Program consists of a series of 6 month rotations among various groups in the Finance Department. Analysts in the program will participate in four of these rotations before selecting a permanent position.     Comerica's hands-on Technical Professional Analyst Program consists of a series of 8 month rotations among specific departments in the Information Services Organization. Analysts in the program will participate in three rotations, before selecting a permanent position in the organization. This comprehensive training is designed to build a foundation of experience and knowledge to move into other roles and responsibilities throughout the Information Services organization.
