Comerica and the Comerica Charitable Foundation concentrate support on programs and initiatives that address key issues in communities where the company has operations and where partnerships with other organizations can address critical community issues.
Key steps in making a request:
2. If your program meets Comerica grant criteria, proposals for funding should include the following information:
- Background information about your organization and project
- What issue or problem does your program or project address?
- How does this issue relate to Comerica's mission, areas of focus and criteria?
- Who are the clients, audience or people served by this program?
- Description of how this program is unique from other programs addressing the same needs
- What is the expected outcome of the program for which you seek support?
- What is the rationale for this request and the amount/resource requested of Comerica?
- What are the key program or deadline objectives?
- How will you measure results or determine the success of this program?
- How will you sustain this program beyond current funding?
3. Funding proposals must also include:
- The most recent annual report or other information about your organization and current programs
- Listing of key volunteer board leadership
- Program and organization budget
- List of other current or proposed contributors to the organization and the program requesting funding
- Previous funding received from Comerica or the Comerica Charitable Foundation
Important Considerations
We are aware that the competition for corporate involvement in every form is increasing. This also means that we continue to receive many more requests for support than we can possibly fulfill. We give every request a thorough review. We hope that you will take the time to consider how your program fits into our guidelines before you submit a request.
